Advantages of Brasil Stainless Steel Tea Kettle

Fever fast
Fast heating is the most basic requirement for stainless steel kettles. Therefore, the original heating coil has been transformed into a wider and thicker heating chassis, which is more beautiful and practical, and solves the problem of difficult cleaning of scale; Secondly, it is more effective in heating, often boiling half a liter to one liter of water in 3-5 minutes, and adjusting different temperatures. Stainless steel liners with faster heat conduction are therefore more popular.

Good insulation
The stainless steel kettle uses a high-quality temperature controller as the key component, and this unique steam conduit controls the temperature. By squeezing the steam after the water boils, it ensures that the water is fully boiled and can be completely sterilized. This change has made stainless steel electric kettle no longer just a tool for boiling water, but also a tool for storing water.

Strong filtration
It is a consensus among everyone that drinking water should be healthy, so it is necessary to install several "safety nets" - filter screens - in the stainless steel kettle. The key positions such as the bottom of the kettle and the water outlet can be described as "mechanisms" with several filters installed to remove scale and purify water quality.

Fully functional
Simple boiling water can no longer meet daily needs, and set style stainless steel electric water kettles are becoming popular. In addition to stainless steel water kettles, there are also specialized utensils such as tea sets, which boil water, make tea, and drink coffee in one go, reflecting the care from beginning to end.

Considerations When Buying a Brasil Stainless Steel Tea Kettle

Quality

Irrespective of the material, the kettle's quality is paramount. A well-made kettle will not only last longer but also perform better.

01

Design

Depending on your kitchen decor and personal preference, the kettle's design may play a substantial role in your purchase decision. While copper kettles often have a more vintage appeal, stainless steel kettles can offer a sleek, modern look.

02

Size

The size of the kettle should align with your tea-drinking habits. A bigger kettle may be more suitable if you frequently host tea parties or have a large family. Conversely, a smaller kettle will suffice if you're the only tea drinker in your house.

03

Heat source compatibility

Not all kettles are compatible with all types of stovetops. Make sure the kettle you choose is suitable for your heat source, whether gas, electric, or induction.

04

Ease of cleaning

Since copper kettles require a bit more maintenance to keep them shiny and free from oxidation, consider how much time and effort you're willing to put into the care of your kettle. Stainless steel kettles can be cleaned with a simple dish soap and water solution.

In conclusion, the choice between a stainless steel kettle and a glass kettle depends on your personal preferences and priorities, such as aesthetics, durability, price, and safety. Consider these factors and choose the kettle that best suits your needs and lifestyle.

The Production Process of Brasil Stainless Steel Tea Kettle

In the factory, the sheet steel is mechanically placed in the die of a punch press. A hydraulic punch is released, creating a hollow shell in the shape of the kettle base. This piece is then removed. The second sheet of steel is placed in a punch press with a die shaped to hold the heating element. The steel shapes are called stampings. The second piece sits in the first like one bowl inside the other.

The metal stampings are attached to hangers on a conveyor system and carried through two different processes. The base stamping is conveyed to a paint booth where it is given a small electrical charge that attracts fine a paint mist to its surface. The base stamping is painted to match the upper plastic housing. The stamping that will house the electrical components is conveyed through an different coating process that treats the upper surface of the metal piece (the surface that will come into contact with water) so that mineral deposits will be easier to remove. These coating processes are called anodizing. This protects the steel parts from corrosion and gives the stampings a small electrical charge that attracts the coating.

Meanwhile, the upper part of the kettle is formed. The polypropylene plastic pellets are released through a hopper with a funnel-shaped bottom into an injection-molding machine that melts the pellets under high heat until the plastic is liquid. Under high pressure, the liquid plastic is forced into a steel box (called a die) with two halves. When the halves are locked together, the die contains a void that is an exact image of the plastic housing of the kettle. The two parts in the die form the outside and inside surfaces of the kettle. The cavity relief surface of the die shapes the outside of the kettle including the solid plastic handle, and the core relief surface is the inner surface. When the injected plastic has filled every tiny nook in the die, the die is opened and the plastic kettle housing, which is still hot, is ejected. The housings are allowed to cool until assemblers can handle them.

At the next assembly station, metal flip-up covers are manually pressed onto the plastic spouts so the spouts will open and pour water; these wide spouts are also the openings for filling the kettles. Other models have metal lids with small plastic handles that are also injection molded. These models are filled through their opened lids.

How to Choose Brasil Stainless Steel Tea Kettle

Everyone has a sweet spot for kettle capacity. When choosing a kettle, your first consideration should be capacity. Stovetop kettles range from a petite 1-quart to well over a gallon, so buying the kettle that will be the best fit for your use is key. Larger kettles take longer to boil and often have a minimum fill level, so they are not ideal for smaller needs. If you only need a cup or two of tea in the morning, a smaller kettle is the best way to go, but if you have a large family or love to entertain with tea, scale up as needed.
Kettle material matters, and stainless steel is ideal. Most stovetop kettles are made of stainless steel, but there are also ones constructed of solid copper and cast iron. We prefer stainless steel stovetop kettles because they are durable (crack- and rust-resistant), ideal for heating water quickly, easy to care for, and look great in most kitchens. Plus, stainless steel kettles usually have a silicone handle for safe transport.
A kettle's weight should be manageable in one hand. The kettle's material can contribute significantly to the weight of the kettle. And while you always want a kettle with a heavy bottom for even heat distribution, you also want to be sure it is easy to handle and pour when full of boiling water for safety's sake. If the kettle feels heavy to you when it is empty, it's probably going to be too much to handle when it's full of boiling water.
Cleanup always makes a difference. Since most stovetop kettles require hand-washing, it's important to find one that isn't a hassle to clean after each use. We recommend looking for one with a larger opening and a higher handle, so you can easily see the inside and reach in there to remove any mineral residue.

304 Vs 316 Brasil Stainless Steel Tea Kettle

When looking at these two steel grades, both look similar in appearance and have comparable chemical compositions. Both resist rusting and corrosion well while also offering added durability. 316 stainless steel's higher cost can be attributed to its better corrosion resistance. Because of this price differential and the limited environments in which 316 steel is advantageous, the 304 grade is the most widely used austenitic stainless steel.

Because of its better corrosion resistance, the stainless 316 grade costs more. This higher grade is especially recommended for applications that expose an alloy to chlorinated solutions and chlorides, including seawater. It can add years to the life of components or equipment exposed to harsh and corrosive conditions, particularly if it involves exposure to salts. Yet, for most applications, the 304 grade will work perfectly well. In summation, when looking at 304 vs. 316 stainless steel, for applications that require superior resistance to corrosion or water, use 316 stainless. For other applications, 304 stainless will work just fine.

How to Clean Brasil Stainless Steel Tea Kettle
Brasil Stainless Steel Tea Kettle
01.

Lemon

Squeeze half a lemon into 1 cup (240 mL) of water. Cut a medium-sized lemon in half and juice it into a bowl. Then, add in your water and stir it together so the solution is thoroughly combined.

Alternatively, cut the lemon into small slices and toss them all in the water.

If you don't have a lemon, you can use 1⁄4 cup (59 ml) of store-bought lemon juice instead.

Check the manufacturer's instructions for your particular kettle to make sure it's safe to add lemon juice or pieces of lemon inside.

Boil the lemon and water solution in your kettle. Pour the solution into your kettle to fill it halfway. Turn on the stove to high heat or plug in an electric kettle to heat up the lemon water. Let the solution come to a rolling boil for about a minute.

Turn off the kettle and leave the solution to sit for an hour. Unplug your kettle or remove it from heat and set it aside on a cool surface to soak. You'll break apart more limescale if you leave the solution in your kettle for an hour, but at least 30 minutes is okay if you're pressed for time.

Rinse and wipe residue out of the kettle. Check that the kettle is cool to the touch before handling it. Then, just rinse the kettle in your sink to remove any lemon water and limescale residue before continuing. Give the kettle about 4–5 rinses to completely clean it out. Rub the inside with a damp cleaning cloth to break apart any stubborn limescale.

Heat plain water in your kettle to remove residual limescale and lemon flavors. Fill your kettle halfway with water and bring it to a boil. Remove your kettle from heat and pour out the water when you're finished.

02.

Baking Soda

Add water and 1 tablespoon (14.4 g) of baking soda to your kettle. Fill your kettle about halfway full with water to cover the limescale on the surface. Scoop your baking soda into the kettle and stir it until it completely dissolves in the water.

Heat the kettle until the water boils for 1 minute. Turn your kettle on if it's electric; otherwise, put it over high heat on your stove. Wait until the water comes to a rolling boil, and leave it over heat for about a minute.

Remove the kettle from heat and let it sit for 30 minutes. Unplug your kettle or take it off the burner so it has a chance to cool down. As the baking soda sits in your kettle, it will loosen the limescale so it rinses out easily.

Rinse the baking soda solution and limescale out of your kettle. When the kettle feels cool to the touch, pour the baking soda solution down your sink drain. Run clean, cool water from your faucet through your kettle to get rid of any residual baking soda or limescale deposits that are still stuck inside.

Scrub stubborn limescale with a baking soda paste and toothbrush. For severe limescale buildup, mix baking soda with a little bit of water until it forms a thick paste. Dip the bristles of an old toothbrush in the paste and scrub it onto the limescale until it comes off. Then, just rinse the solution out with clean water.
